So this is basically just sharing recipes and trying new ones so you don't get bored in quarantine, it could be any meal (or snack!) it doesn't matter what.

You can also share some of your favourite cookbooks! (I think mine is Healthy snacks for Kids, don't judge the title, it's from the 80s)

You and your friends can share recipes you invented, found online, or just really like!

I have a few recipes to share as well!

Rules: be nice of course, be appropriate aaaaand... I'll add more if i can think of anything else.

Here's a recipe I invented:

1 Sweet potato, peeled and cubed

1 cup of water

1 tsp of cinnamon

2 apples, sliced

1 Tbsp of honey

1 Tbsp of brown sugar

1/3 cup of dried cranberries, optional

1/4 cup of chopped walnuts, also optional

  1. Pour the water into a deep skillet (add more water if needed) and add the sweet potatoes, cinnamon, brown sugar and honey. Put the lid on the skillet and cook at medium low heat.
  2. When the sweet potatoes are almost soft, add in the apples, cranberries, and walnuts. Cook at medium low heat until the sweet potatoes and apples are soft.

     Serve warm and refridgerate leftovers.

   Makes about 4 servings

I will add more recipes and cookbooks I've found and liked!

  • I once asked my mom (since I was bored) if there was such thing as grape muffins. She said.......yes of course their is a recipe for everything. xD So I made them. (this was like 3 years ago) I completely forgot about this recipe until the start of quarantine when I was boreder than bored. So here it is!

Concord Grape Muffins · The Crepes of Wrath
Perfectly jumbo concord grape muffins with crunchy tops and lots of fruit!
    • I never knew grape muffins existed
      But those look really good.
  • Here's a recipe that I made for pancakes!
    Makes 8
    Cooking time: 45 mins
This recipe you can use for literally any kind of pancake, you just need to change up the recipe a little bit.
1 cup baking flour (or any kind of flour alternative will do. I use Bob's Red Mill Baking Flour).
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    A pinch of salt
    2 TB granulated sugar
    1 TB brown sugar
1/2 cup whole milk (you can use almond milk, coconut milk, or any kind of dairy alternative)
2 TB avocado or coconut oil
    2 egg whites
For chocolate pancakes, use 1/3 cup cocoa powder and 2/3 regular flour, and 1/4 baking SODA.
    1. Mix in flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl.
    2. Beat egg whites until soft peaks. TIP: Do NOT use store-bought egg whites.
    3. Mix milk and oil until it barely starts to combine.
    4. Add egg whites. Slowly fold in egg whites with a spatula being careful not to deflate them.
    5. Once the egg whites are all combined, take the biggest pan you have and spray it with coconut spray or a tiny bit of butter. Do NOT use avocado spray.
    6. Set on medium low heat.
    7. Take a 1/4 cup measuring cup and with a spatula spoon the batter into the cup and pour on pan.
    8. Let it cook for 5 mins or until the top isn't shiny. In the meantime, CLEAN!
    9. Flip. Cook for 2 mins on the other side. You don't really know when it's done on the other side, so I know this sounds weird, but put a toothpick in and see if there are any crumbs. No crumbs, you're good!
10: Serve with butter and/or syrup and ENJOY!!! 😁
TIP: When doing next batch of pancakes when you don't have any room left on the pan, make sure to re-spray it. Also, to keep the other batch warm, set you oven or toaster oven on the lowest temp you have (Usually 150 deg. Fahrenheit if you don't do Celcius) to keep them warm. Have fun, and enjoy! 😋
    • Ooo these sound good :O
  • I have a recipe for ye. From the cookbook Healthy snacks for kids.
    Breakfast Bars.
2- 1/2 cups of all bran or granola or rolled oats (I use rolled oats)
    3/4 cup of flour
    1 tsp. of baking powder
    1/4 tsp. of salt (optional)
    1/4 cup honey (or less)
    1 banana, mashed
1/2 cup of melted margarine or butter (I use butter)
    1 egg
    1 tsp. of vanilla extract

Maintaining Friendships While Advancing in Life

I've been starting to get a lot more active acting-industry wise, but I'm nervous that my friends will treat me differently once I book more roles. I want them to know I'm the same person they've always known, without sounding over confident or full of myself. ~Anonymous Hi! First of all, let me start off by saying congrats about getting more active in your acting career! That sounds really exciting and getting more roles is definitely an accomplishment :)   Although I’ve never been in quite…

Having A Crush On A Friend.

I might have a crush on one of my friends. But I don’t know. She acts super flirty around me. (I think) when we walk next to each other she always nudges my shoulder. If we sit next to each other she taps my foot. Is this even flirty? I don’t know what to do. I don’t even know if I like her. Help!   That sounds pretty confusing. Romantic feelings are always confusing when you're young though. I can't tell you if what your friend is doing is flirting or not because I'm not her so I don't know…

Feeling Overwhelmed

I get really overwhelmed a lot. There are times when there is just to much going on around me. Most of the time I can’t walk away and people tell me to shut up or stop being sensitive. It’s becoming more often now though. What should i do? --Anonymous    Hello! Wow, that sounds really stressful, and like it’s probably overwhelming in and of itself.  Being overwhelmed a lot of the time is a perfectly valid feeling that a lot of people are dealing with right now. The world is so crazy and…

Figuring Out Your Sexuality

Is twelve to young to really figure out your sexuality when you haven’t even had that many crushes? I don’t see that many kids my age at the moment, but I feel like I might know my sexuality. That makes no sense, I’m just very confused. -Anonymous    Hello there! My answer to this question is simple: You are never too young to figure out your sexuality. A lot of people start questioning their sexuality at age 5, or even younger. There is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ age to start figuring out your…
